Propane Heater Safety Kit Replacement Parts

The Safety Faston Type Thermocouple Safety Assembly Kit with FD4 Dump Switch is a repair replacement part for most tank top propane heaters, including brands like Mr Heater, Dura Heat, COSTWAY, REMINGTON, and ProCom. It is designed to fit propane tank top heaters that have a white faston female plug on the valve.

The thermocouple serves as a replacement sensor for heaters and must always be heated. To install the thermocouple, follow these instructions:

1) Attach the thermocouple to a pilot bracket or heater mounting plate using the provided clips. 2) Position the tip of the thermocouple approximately 5mm away from the burner hole at the right height. 3) Securely fasten one end of the thermocouple to the dump switch and the other end to the gas valve. 4) Ensure that the two flat terminals are well connected to the current tilt switch terminals. 5) Open the gas and hold the valve for around 5-10 seconds until the thermocouple head is adequately heated. 6) Release your hand and ensure that the heater functions properly.

If the gas valve shuts off again when you release your hand, please check the following: a) Ensure that the thermocouple is continuously heated by the flame. b) Verify that the thermocouple end is securely connected to the valve. c) Confirm that the terminals are well connected to the tilt switch.

The Thermocouple Safety Assembly Kit is 20 inches in length and features one FD4 weak current tilt dump switch with a gas resistance of R≤10 mΩ. The kit includes two parts with white faston type terminals that connect to the tank top propane heater valve.

The round ring terminal should be connected to the valve screw or any metal part. The assembly kit is specially designed for outdoor gas heaters and features gold plated connectors inside for optimal performance. It is CE and CSA approved, ensuring safety when replacing parts for your propane tank top heater. Please note that it is not suitable for use with Texsport heaters or similar main control valves.
